The second participant in the murder of 30-year-old resident of Cheremkhov, Irkutsk region, has surrendered to the police. 

As previously reported by The CrimeRussia, the man was shot dead outside the Pekin restaurant on February 6. REN TV has published a video, which shows a few men beating one man on the street outside the restaurant; one of them then tries to leave the fight scene, and someone shots him several times. The man falls. Later, he died in the hospital.

The victim turned out to be a local crime lord, a confidant of mafia enforcer Kolya Lyuka. According to Novy Irkutsk’s sources, the latter is a close friend and business partner of the city mayor, Vadim Semyonov. 

One of the criminals was detained on February 8. On February 12, the second shooting participant voluntarily surrendered to law enforcement officers. The man made a full confession and turned in the murder weapon. 

He has been charged with item ‘g’ part 2 of Art. 105 of the Russian Criminal Code (Murder Committed by a Group of Persons by Previous Concert). 

The investigation into the criminal case is ongoing.
