Robot to face trial for killing Kursk ‘authorities’
The Investigative Committee completed the investigation of the criminal case against Ruslan Sibilev, known under the nickname Robot. He is charged with the murder of Chopin and Ukraine.
The criminal case against 38-year-old Ruslan Sibilev, nicknamed Robot and Boxer, accused of killing Kursk 'authorities' Chopin and Ukraine, was passed to court. The Prosecutor General's Office approved the indictment after the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee had reported on the completion of the case investigation.
Sibilev is accused under several articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: part 4 of Art. 111 (Intentional Infliction of a Grave Injury, which has involved the death of the victim by negligence); part 3 of Art. 222 (Illegal Possession of Firearms); two episodes under part 2 of Art. 330 (Arbitrariness committed with the use of violence); part 3 of Art. 30, items (f, g), part 2 of Art. 105 (Murder committed by an organized group); items (a, f, g), part 2 of Art. 105 (Murder, that is, deliberate causing of death to two persons committed by an organized group).
According to investigators, in June 2010 Robot with his accomplices in Lazurnoe garderners’ non-commercial partnership attempted to assassinate local 'authority' Oleg Afanasyev, nicknamed Chopin, and his wife. The spouses were shot from a hunting rifle Saiga. As a result of the attack, the woman suffered a tangential head injury, and Chopin was seriously injured in the body. Thanks to the medical aid, the 'authority' managed to survive, but a year later the killers decided to finish the matter. On March 24, 2011, 44-year-old Chopin was shot at the entrance of his own house in Kursk. The assassins released about 12 bullets from the AK-47. The presumable motive for the murder was the conflict in the redivision of criminal business. Sibilev with his brigade imposed tribute on local entrepreneurs and thus 'crossed the path' of the people of Chopin.
In addition, Sibilev is also accused of killing another Kursk 'authority' Alexei Ukraintsev, known under the nickname Ukraine. On August 12, 2010 Ukraintsev was shot in his own Toyota Camry at the crossroads of K. Marx and Kavkazskaya Streets. The 'authority' died at the crime scene.

In addition, at the end of May 2013, in one of the villages of the Kursk region, Ruslan Sibilev and his companions severely beat a man he had never met before. The man subsequently died in the hospital from the injuries.
The Investigative Committee does not provide Information about other criminal episodes pinned on Robot. The investigators report that his unlawful actions were aimed at "illegally receiving money from the residents of Kursk."
As The CrimeRussia has written, Sibilev managed to hide from law enforcement agencies for a long time in the territory of Thailand. Robot was successfully detained and extradited only in 2015. During the interrogation of the investigators, the criminal confessed to organizing a number of contract killings. Also, Sibilev ratted out his accomplices, the direct perpetrators of the crimes, Alexei Khandotsov (Honda), who was subsequently detained, and Alexei Alikov (Hunter). The latter still manages to hide from justice.
In addition, while under investigation, Robot said that allegedly another Kursk 'authority' Dmitry Volbuev, also Volobuy, suggested that he find people who would help deal with Chopin and Ukraine. Volobuy is also currently in jail on charges of extortion, murder, attempted swindling, but so far he has not been charged with the murder of two opponents.
The criminal case against Ruslan Sibilev has already been submitted to the Leninsky District Court of Kursk for consideration on the merits.
