Police of Ukraine publishes video of detention of mafia lord Lasha Svan
Earlier, the kingpin tried to become a “curator” of apartment thieves and robbers in Kiev.
Lasha Ochamchirsky, also known as Svan, was detained in Kiev for the second time this year. The detention video was published by the National Police of Ukraine. The detention operation was carried out on November 14 by operatives of the Strategic Investigations Directorate in Kiev, together with the patrol police, a spokeswoman for the department said.
Svan was taken to a temporary stay center for foreigners and stateless persons for further expulsion from the country.
In March 2019, the mafia lord tried to head Ukrainian criminal groups specializing in apartment theft, robbery, and extortion with kidnapping. Then, Svan was sent to Turkey and forbidden to enter Ukraine, but the kingpin still crossed the border.
The police say that Interpol was looking for Svan until 2017 due to charges of creating a gang in Europe engaged in kidnapping and money laundering.
