Now, there are only 2 ‘thieves in law’ who live in the country on a permanent basis. They are Lekha Semipalatinsky and Serik Golova.

There are almost no ‘influential authorities’ in the country following heavy-handed actions by Kazakhstan’s law enforcement. KNews reports there are only 2 ‘thieves in law’ who live in the country: Aytkali Maymushev (aka Lekha Maymysh, Lekha Semipalatinsky, Titanic) and Serik Jamanaev (aka Golova).

Samarkan Akhmetov (aka Samar) who had been ‘crowned’ in Greece has recently left the country. According to KNews, he lives in the United Arab Emirates. ‘Thieves’ Kamchi Kolbaev (aka Kolya Kirgiz) and Nadir Salifov (aka Guli) had earlier moved to the UAE, as well.

All the rest who had not managed to escape were detained. For instance, one of the leaders of a famous Kazakhstani crime group Chetyre brata (Four brothers) Erkin Izbasar and his accomplices were arrested.

Another crime ‘authority’ and leader of an organized crime group Deputatsky korpus (Deputy’s cabinet) Muratkhan Tokmadi (aka Murka) is now in custody, as well.

Other representatives of the local criminal world - including Adiljan Zaynaudin (aka Adyl Kytay) and Ruslan Ramazan (aka Shpek) are behind bars, too.

Rafik Bikbaev (aka Rafik Chimkentsky) has been serving his term since 2009.

Head of a crime group Rybachinskiye Bakyt Karimov (aka Bakha Ucharalsky) died in a road accident in 2015.
