"Not the king to be coronated": "Sakal" renounced his title in court
The sudden confession of the "kingpin" happened during his interrogation in court.
"Сrimelord " from Kyrgyzstan, Ulan Toktosunov, better known in the criminal world under nickname Sakal, renounced the "crown." To be precise, he stated that he’s never been crowned. It happened at the trial, which is currently held in the Pervomayski District Court, where the case against Sakal is heard.
Let us remind, that Sakal is being accused of accessory to the murder of Damir Saparbekov, which, allegedly, was an active member of gang crew controlled by the "kingpin " Kamchi Kolbaev (Kolya-Kyrgyz).
The sudden confession of the "kingpin" happened during his interrogation in court. The public prosecutor announced a number of people who, he said, are "kingpins", and asked how it happened that they have a joint photo. Toktosunov said he was in the company by an accident: his friend invited him to the hotel where they were "strangers". After that the lawyer of the injured party said that there is a video in the Internet, where Sakal admits to be a “kingpin”. In response to that, Toktosunov again denied any accusations , saying he doesn’t know what a "thief in law" means. The lawyer then noted that in the above-mentioned video Sakal voiced the names of his "godfathers". At that moment Sakal, apparently, decided to make the "kill shot" to his "crimelord’s" career:
- “I'm not the king to be coronated”, - stated Sakal
It is noteworthy that in the public domain there are plenty of joint photos of Sakal and his "peers" - a very well-known "thieves in law". The atmosphere on these photos is clearly friendly - "thieves in law” are all together with a sea as the background. Near Sakal - Gela Kardava, Andrey Kazakov (Chile), Nikolai Kuzmichev, aka Kolya Tomskiy and many others. Of course, this "incriminating evidence" does not correspond to the statement made by Sakal, but only time will tell how it will influence his life.
The prosecutors want the former Russian Federation Council member to go to prison for 14 years instead of 9 and pay a 500-million-ruble ($8.8 million) fine instead of 70 million rubles ($1.2 million).
