No second round. How Gafur Cherny’s protege set him, himself and Taro's clan up
The attempt to coronate the new thief in law by representatives of the Kutaisi clan ended in complete failure. It quickly became clear that the “godfathers” of Akhtam Samarkandsky violated a whole series of thieves' laws, including the ban imposed by Shakro Molodoy. The newly appeared thief was not worthy of this title. And behind the promotion of Akhtam Samarkandsky, it is Gafur Cherny and financial interest.
In early April, a gathering took place in Turkey, timed to coincide with the release of the thief in law Tariel Oniani (Taro), who had served a term in a prison in the Orenburg colony Black Dolphin for almost 10 years. Of course, Taro himself was expected at this meeting. On the threshold of his release, there were rumors that he was being deported to his country of birth, GeorGiya, from where he would immediately fly to Istanbul. However, as we know, instead of this the crime boss who on April 9 went outside the gates of the correctional institution, was immediately detained and now he is waiting for the deportation to Spain, where he has a new term for the financial frauds and the creation of a criminal community.
The Turkish gathering was gathered by thieves in law from the Kutaisi clan of Temuri Nemsitsveridze (Tsripa) and David Chkhikvishvili (Dato Surgutsky). It was attended by 15 crime bosses, among whom there were Roman Dzhafarov (Romik Kurd), Teimuraz Churadze (Aleko), Lasha Dogonadze (Lasha Pitersky), Vladimir Dzotsenidze (Valera Kutaissky), Gocha Dzhincharadze (Kursha) and others. And its result was the emergence of a new thief in law Akhtam Yakubov (Akhtam Samarkandsky).
This event itself could be interpreted as the strengthening of the clan Oniani and, for certain, was presented like that by its initiators. However, soon such facts came to the surface, which even deprived the crown of the newly appeared thief and cast a shadow on his godfathers.
A number of crime lords spoke against this coronation at once. For example, Vasily Khristoforov (Vasya Voskres) reminded that he personally participated in the beating of Dzhafarov, after which he was declared not a thief and his status is still in limbo, and therefore he was not eligible to vote.
Recall Romik Kurd became a victim of the conflict of thieves' clans in 2012. At first he was beaten for supporting Dzhemo Mikeladze. After Dzhafarov confirmed that he considers him worthy of his title, a group of thieves close to Ded Hasan came to him. Then the story repeated a year later, when Dzhafarov was beaten already in the company of Sergey Asatryan (Osetrina/Edik Tbilissky), his son Serezha Bentley and Guram Chikhladze (Kvezhoevich). More than a dozen thieves from the same Ded's clan became their opponents. Automatically, all beaten were declared not thieves (though, except for Kvezhoevich).
Roman Dzhafarov (Romik Kurd)
The same was reproached by Teymuraz Churadze (Aleko Shoshiya), Tsripa's son-in-law, who participated in the Turkish gathering, and Roman Khmaladze (Roma Batumsky), who had already been deprived of his status three times, and who, according to the thieves, had no right to crown anyone.
Churadze lost his crown last year when Giya Nizharadze and Gocha Alpaidze (Alfason) dealt with him in Istanbul. At the same time, thief in law Nadir Salifov (Guli), was in their company. It is not known on what purpose all the participants in the conflict met, but according to some information, its beginning was a demonstration by Churadze of his disrespectful attitude towards Alfason, whom he called “part-time”, hinting at his participation in the run of a circular letter initiated by Ded Hasan and Yaponchik against Oniani, where he is declared not a thief. Aleko Shoshiya also spoke unfairly about David Sebiskveradze (Dato Kutaissky), whose supporters are Giya and Alfason. All this was taken as an insult, for which they immediately punished Aleko Shoshiya.

Well, the most obvious complaint was the violation by the Kutaisi clan of the ban on new coronations. Recall that the veto on the chaotic vetting was introduced in 2015 by Shakro Molodoy, who returned from Spain and tried, apparently, to preserve the fragile peace between the warring clans. Prior to this, for example, the main opponents Nadir Salifov (Guli) and Rovshan Lenkoransky, by doing it themselves, easily crowned their entourage, thus strengthening their clans with thieves in law. No one dared to violate the prohibition even after it became known that Shakro Molodoy would have to spend many years in prison.
True, one such incident did occur. With the submission of the thief in law Vazha Biganishvili (Vazha Tbilissky) in November last year, the thieves' community added a new member. In Cyprus a certain Joseph (Soso) Terterashvili, also known as Socrat, was crowned. Being a native of the Georgia city of Gori, he got the nickname Socrat Goriysky. The last 15 years he lived in Europe: in France and Italy, where for some time he was in charge of the common fund.
Vazha Tbilissky himself explained his actions by the fact that the granting of worthy thieving powers is directly the responsibility of every crime boss and this process cannot be stopped for a minute. And to support the termination of the new vettings, according to him, can only cops.
Back then, this story had no consequences for its participants. Several thieves expressed their dissatisfaction, but no one had made any claims directly.
However, this time everything turned out differently and Dato Surgutsky was reminded of his participation at that very Yerevan gathering of 2015, when he agreed with its decision, and now he himself has broken it.
Soon such criminal generals as Roland Gegechkori (Roland Shlyapa) and Merab Mzarelua (Duyake), and also representing the interests of Shakro Molodoy David Ozmanov (Dato Krasnodarsky) and Nodari Asoyan (Nodar Rustavsky) declared that they do not recognize Akhtam Samarkandsky as a thief. And even members of the friendly to Kutaisi clan Sukhumi clan, crime bosses Merab Bakhiya (Bakha-Bakha), Roin Uglava (Matevich), Irakli Kalichava (Khutu), Koba Akhvlediani (Koba Sukhumsky) and Akakiy Tugushi (Enzo Batumsky) said that they were not aware of the past vetting.
Akhtam from Samarkand
The Uzbek branch of Radio Svoboda (Ozodlik) claims that ethnic Iranian Yakubov grew up in Uzbekistan, hence the name Samarkandsky. In the late 90s, a professional boxer took up a very specific business – he began supplying girls with low social responsibility to the UAE. Then he himself moved to live in Dubai, not realizing, apparently, that in this country the usual for his homeland chaos would not pass for nothing. In general, Samarkandsky soon found himself in a local prison on charges of murdering his rival, a pimp from Uzbekistan and her bodyguard. Initially, the court sentenced him to life imprisonment, and later the punishment was replaced by 25 years. As a result, he served almost 17. In prison, according to the publication, Akhtam was an alpha dog. There he also met member of the Brothers' Circle Gafur Rakhimov’s (Gafur Cherny) nephew Ravshan Muhiddinov, nicknamed Ravshan Zolotoy (because of blond hair).
Ravshan Zolotoy and Guli
In 2007, at the age of 18, Mukhiddinov was accused at motherland of creating a criminal community and was wanted. In 2009, he was detained at the Istanbul airport, however, after three years he had to be released, as the Uzbek law enforcement agencies could not prove his guilt. In 2013, he was again arrested now in the United Arab Emirates, where he was held in Al-Avir prison in Dubai. But this time he was released for the same reason.
Muhiddinov has a great influence in Central Asia – he is Gafur Cherny's nephew after all. In particular, according to the media, citing sources in the law enforcement bodies of Uzbekistan, Ravshan Zolotoy played an important role in the evacuation of the famous Chechen crime boss Aziz Batukaev from Kyrgyzstan to Chechnya.
Recall, on April 8, 2013, Batukaev, who was sentenced to 17 years for the murder in 2006 of a deputy of the Kyrgyz parliament, was released from prison in Naryn. The reason for his early release was the doctors' diagnosis: acute myeloblastic leukemia, hepatitis C, and liver cirrhosis. And the next day he flew in a private jet from Bishkek to Grozny.
Aziz Batukaev before departure at Manas airport (Bishkek)
Such a rapid release and, in fact, flight caused a scandal in the political circles of Kyrgyzstan. An investigation began and a year later the Naryn City Court overturned its decision, and Batukaev was put on the international wanted list. However, it is still not possible to bring the crime boss back to the Kyrgyz authorities.
As the Kyrgyz press wrote in those years, the entourage of Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov could have been involved in the liberation of Batukaev. In particular, the comfortable business jet Bombardier Challenger 300 for Batukaev was allegedly sent by his closest associate, State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov. Moreover, as indicated, Batukaev and Delimkhanov belong to the same teip.
This version looks most believable. At least without the approval of Kadyrov, the thief in law could hardly fly to the republic freely.
However, in the course of the parliamentary investigation conducted in Kyrgyzstan, new details emerged. Apart from the fact that the board, which Batukaev met, received permission to arrive in Bishkek one day before the court decision was issued, the deputies could also get a list of its passengers. After registering through the VIP-hall of the Manas International Airport, besides Aziz Batukaev and his relatives, someone named Mukhidin ogly Ruzen came on board.
It is alleged that it was Mukhiddinov next to Batukaev in the picture
The latter, as the deputy commission found out, seemed to be the representative of the Turkish company that owned the chartered plane. Based on the statement of Ozodlik, it is just Ravshan Zolotoy.
But back to Akhtam Samarkandsky. After his vetting questions appeared to him personally. In particular, the Chechen crime boss Khuseyn Akhmadov (Khuseyn Slepoy) questioned some of the facts of his biography, stating that while in the UAE prison he was not alpha dog at all, he was even beaten up by his compatriots.
One might have suspected Akhmadov of bias – he just recently arrived in Turkey on behalf of an opponent of Akhtam Samarkandsky – the only Uzbek crime boss Bakhtier Kudratullaev (Bakhti Tashkentsky). But the same information was also confirmed by Merab Dzhangveladze (Merab Sukhumsky), whom Dato Surgutsky and Tsripa asked to resolve this delicate situation to form their personal opinion.
Dzhangveladze made inquiries and found confirmations of the words of Khuseyn Slepoy. In particular, he spoke with gangsters who were serving sentences with Akhtam in the UAE prison, including Kazbek Dukuzov, who is on the international wanted list for the murder of journalist Paul Khlebnikov and chief of staff of the administration of the Chechen Republic Yakov Sergunin. All of them very unflatteringly spoke of Akhtam. In particular, Dukuzov said that when he was arrested and convicted in Dubai for attacking two businessmen from whom he extorted almost $ 6 million, he ended up in the same prison as Samarkandsky. He designated himself as alpha dog for Russian-speaking cons and said that he was on the side of Kazbek. At the same time, he spent all the time with Arab prisoners who controlled the situation in prison. Dukuzov did not like it, and he began to confront the Arabs, which ended up in a massive fight with a stabbing. Kazbek was seriously wounded, but nevertheless he was able to win back some positions in the prison hierarchy from the Arabs. Later it turned out that Samarkandsky had been working on two fronts all this time, sharing with the Arabs the plans of their opponents. For this, the Chechens severely beat him and the rest of his time he was already sitting in the Arab building.
Dukuzov himself was released under an amnesty in the summer of 2015. At the same time, the request for his extradition to Russia was not satisfied, and he left the United Arab Emirates in an unknown direction. According to Rosbalt, citing a law enforcement source, Kazbek was recently seen in Chechnya in the company of his longtime friend, thief in law Gilani Aliyev (Gilani Sedoy). In addition, he met with Aziz Batukaev.
By the way, Akhtam Yakubov was also released from prison in 2015 (possibly under the same amnesty) and with the help of Ravshan Mukhiddinov moved to Istanbul. There, he became close to one of the representatives of the Taro clan and Merab Sukhumsky Lasha Dogonadze (Lasha Pitersky). And through him he established contact with Rovshan Dzhaniev (Rovshan Lenkoransky), continuing to answer for immigrants from Central Asia.
It is noteworthy that after the assassination of Dzhaniyev in 2016, he shamelessly turned to the side of his enemy, Nadir Salifov (Guli), as evidenced by his presence at the meeting gathered by Guli in Istanbul in the autumn of 2018. As reported, in addition to the dozens of crime bosses close to him, representatives of the criminal world of the Caucasus and the Central Asian republics were also present. And according to the source of the Uzbek branch of Radio Liberty, Akhtam Samarkandsky was the main representative of all Central Asian crime lords there.
He allegedly participated in the analysis of the situation with the debt of one of the largest Uzbek entrepreneurs. In particular, Salifov said that in 2010 he gave $10 million from the thieves' common fund to a supplier of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan, and he had to return the money in the required period. Otherwise, as stated by the crime boss, the businessman will be punished according to the rules of the criminal world.
By the way, the next day after this summit, Guli was detained by the Turkish police. As a result, he had to leave this country and move to the UAE.
Now this acquaintance with Guli had no effect on the fate of Akhtam – the authoritative crime boss even refused him an audience and naturally did not recognize his new status.
Temuri Nemsitsveridze (Tsripa)
Having received such a powerful negative wave, the representatives of the Kutaisi and Sukhum clans considered that Dato and Tsripa strongly expose not only themselves, but also them and so they decided to reason the crime bosses. It is known that their countrymen – Kutaisi clam member Ramaz Dzneladze – tried to change the decision of the godfathers, as well as sent specifically from Moscow with a dodgy from Shakro Molodoy Guram Chikhladze (Kvezhoevich).
At first, these arguments did not affect Dato and Tsripa, and they tried in every possible way to evade the claims of the crime bosses. Too much was at stake. As it turned out, in their desire to make Akhtam a crime boss, they were not guided by ideological considerations.
However, in the sent by Shakro Molodoy kite it was proposed to voluntarily deprive Akhtam of the title, otherwise this fate could have already reached Dato Surgutsky.
And then, in parallel, the thieves, dissatisfied with the actions of Tsripa and Dato, announced the meeting of the largest gathering in recent years, at which they planned to ask them to the fullest extent.
As a result, assessing the situation, Dato and Tsripa contacted Ramaz Kutaissky and said that they give in and suspend Akhtam's title, provided that they are not taken to the measures on the thieves' line.
As a result, a “gathering” held in Turkey in late April gathered more than 30 thieves in law at one of the private villas in the suburbs of Istanbul, including Ramaz Dzneladze (Ramaz Kutaissky), Koba Akhvlediani (Koba Sukhumsky), Roin Uglava (Matevich), Irakli Kalichava (Khuta), Georgy Mukbaniani (Gishasho) and many others, did not give this story particular attention. Thieves in law only once again agreed with the decision of the “summit” in Yerevan to ban new vettings and extended its action to a new meeting under the leadership of Shakro Molodoy, whose sentence implies being in prison until 2026.
However, the gathered did make some interesting conclusions. It turned out that it all started with the fact that Yakubov volunteered to help a prominent businessman from Uzbekistan who was hiding in Turkey, who owed his fellow countryman $50 million dollars and brought him to Dato Surgutsky and Tsripa. In turn, the lender contacted Bakhti Tashkentsky. Khuseyn Akhmadov, a thief in law, arrived in Turkey for the showdown, but the meeting did not lead to any results. The confrontation of the parties continued to grow, and the debtor made ever more significant contributions for his defense, including by sponsoring Akhtam's vetting to strengthen the bargaining position. In this case, Bakhti Tashkentsky could face the same Uzbek thief.
The connection of Yakubov with Gafur Cherny's nephew is already revealed by his interest in promoting Akhtam. Now it became known for certain that Gafur Cherny was personally interested in seeing in Uzbekistan under his personal control a thief in law who could resist Bakhti Tashkentsky.
Hence, such a diametrically opposite assessment of the vetting of Akhtam in the Uzbek media, who wrote that everyone almost happily welcomed the appearance of a new thief and that Shakro Molodoy himself endorsed the vetting “as an exception.”
It is not difficult to guess who can have such a serious impact on Uzbek sources of information. I think it will not be a surprise if in the end it turns out that the same debtor businessman is Gafur Cherny himself, well, or at least, a person close to him. In the meantime, Gafur was warned not to get involved in the affairs of the "family." Although he himself stated that he had nothing to do with what had happened.
On the whole, the crime bosses from the Taro clan only completely ruined their reputation with the nomination of Yakubov, and even showed that they were just pawns in the game of Gafur Cherny. Not for free of course, but was it worth it?
