Nearly 40 athletes and cultural figures vouch for the bail of crime lord Shishkan
He was placed in custody for two months on July 15.
Moscow City Court, which considered the petition against the arrest of thief in law Oleg Shishkanov (Medvedev), aka Shishkan or Oleg Ramensky, received a request for his release. The letter was signed by about 40 very famous people, including the former Russian national football team coach Valery Gazzaev, the Lokomotiv FC coach Yuri Semin, artists Lev Leschenko and Alexander Serov, singer Lyubov Uspenskaya and other figures. The latter states that Oleg Shishkanov is a philanthropist, who also sponsored many sports competitions, and helped the Donbass people.
Investigators have a different position on Shishkan. He is accused under the new act, Art. 210.1, on “occupying a higher position in the criminal hierarchy”.
Following the trial, Shishkan’s verdict was left unchanged. He was detained on July 15 for two months.
