The deputy head of the National Police of Ukraine reported on three preventive measures against representatives of the criminal environment, which Ukrainian law enforcement officers have recently conducted in various regions of the country.

On January 26, the police of the Odessa region, with the support of the special forces, stopped in Odessa a “gathering” of crime lords, thereby “delivering inconvenience to underbosses in the region.”

Vyacheslav Abroskin, the first deputy head of the National Police of Ukraine, wrote about this on his Facebook page.

In general, in his post, the deputy head of the National Police of Ukraine reported on three preventive measures against representatives of the criminal environment, which Ukrainian law enforcement officers have recently conducted in various regions of the country.

Detention in the Donbass

“When some people choose the way to the thieves' world, they should know that quite often they will have to relax exactly this way, that is, with a muzzle into the ground, as happened today with the underbosses in Odessa, or with the Chernigov underbosses in Kyiv, who came to confer with their metropolitan 'brothers.' And even the birthday party can turn out unsuccessful, as happened in the Donetsk region. It is only in the cinema that the life of a thief is romance, all sorts of surprises can occur in life, including meetings with the police,” Abroskin says.

Detention in Kyiv

Recall that the Ukrainian security forces regularly detain criminal authorities and thieves in law, suppress “gatherings,” however, as a rule, most of the detainees are soon released because, according to the Ukrainian law enforcement officers themselves, the law of the country does not have effective levers against organized crime and the thieves' community in particular, as it happens, for example in Georgia.
