The Armenian police are looking for the murderer of thief in law Andranik Arutyunyan, known as Ando Khromoy, who turned out to be a Russian citizen, 32-year-old resident of Grozny. He is charged with Murder, as well as Illegal acquisition, Sale, Storage, Transportation or Carrying of Firearms.

It is known that the Russian committed the crime with the help of a 50-year-old resident of Yerevan, who has already been detained at this stage.

Earlier, the Chief of the Armenian police, Valery Osipyan, stated that the murder of Andranik Arutyunyan had been a contract one. According to media reports, the murder of the crime boss was associated with the redistribution of spheres of influence in the criminal world.

On the night of July 3, a man in black approached a gazebo by house No. 19 on Mikoyana Street, Nor-Nork district on the outskirts of Yerevan, where four men were playing backgammon, and opened fire.

Two players hid under the table, two more fled. But the killer continued aimed fire. At some point, one of the men managed to run out from under the table. The shooter rushed after him. The unarmed man tried to fend off the killer with a stick. The latter, in turn, continued to shoot. Finally, the victim fell, and the killer, after making several more security shots, escaped.

There was an attempt to save Arutyunyan - he was taken to hospital by car, but, having received four wounds, he died on the way.

Later, investigators found shells, a bullet, as well as a sports bag belonging to the killer at the crime scene.
