Lawyers appealed Sakal’s 17-year sentence for murdering member of Kolbaev OCG
Lawyers of Ulan Toktosunov, known as Sakal in the criminal world, have addressed to the Bishkek City Court and seek to appeal the sentence imposed on their defendant by the court.
As previously reported by the CrimeRussia, December 22, 2016, the Pervomaysky District Court of Bishkek sentenced Toktosunov, known in criminal circles under the nickname Sakal, to 17 years of imprisonment. The man was found guilty of complicity in organizing the assassination of Damir Saparbekov (Danke), a member of Kamchy Kolbaev’s (Koli-Kirgiz) OCG.
In April 2015, the man was shot dead outside his house in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Back then, operatives managed to rather quickly detain one of the killers, 25-year-old Adilet Kazakov. He was sentenced to 14 years of a colony and is currently imprisoned. The second suspect Kayrat Tokushev is still on the run.
The court found Sakal the organizer of the murder and sentenced him to 17 years in penal colony. Two of his accomplices also received prison sentences. Zyparbek Aliev, had become accomplice in the crime, was sentenced to 18 years in prison, while their mutual friend Dastan Tashtanbekov was sentenced to 4 years in colony-settlement.
Officer of the FSB in Moscow and the region Pyotr Koryugin participated in the extortion of 2 million rubles ($34.800) from an Azerbaijani citizen, and he warned a drug dealer about a forthcoming search for 300.000 rubles ($5200).
