Anthimos Kuhilava is one of the oldest Ukrainian thieves in law, according to some information in the thieves' world, he is considered an underboss for Ukraine.
As it became known, after several years of absence famous thief in law Antimos Kuhilava (Kantariya), known as Antik (Anthimos), returned to his native Ukraine. According to the local media, the kingpin contested the decision on a deprivation of citizenship in the Supreme Court and return to Odessa, from where he was expelled a few years ago.
Curiously that Head of the National Police Office of Ukraine in the Odessa region Dmitry Golovin told about almost triumphant return of the kingpin. According to him, December 30, 2016, Kuhilava stepped off a plane at the airport, and there he was met by the Odessa merchants with "very well-known names."
- If on his part some illegal actions take place, we will respond accordingly. I promise: we will not allow criminal groups to establish the impact, and we shall act most stringent methods. Odessa is not a region, where thieves in law will pit their strength against,” - said Golovin.
Anthimos Kuhilava is one of the oldest Ukrainian thieves in law, according to some information, in the thieves' world he was considered the underboss staring for Ukraine. In 2009, he was deprived of Ukrainian citizenship and expelled from the country. All this time he was living in the Turkish Istanbul. Another notable detail of his biography is that the common-law wife of his son Nurik was scandalous Ukrainian singer Anastasia Prikhodko.
