The thief in law Irakli Danelia, better known in the criminal world under a nickname Ika Martvilsky, was sentenced to 3,5 years of imprisonment. Recently, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Ivanovo found the mafia boss guilty of drugs' possession, which were found on him during his arrest in December 2015. However, he argues that the "dope" was planted.
Iku Martvilsky was arrested by the officials of the Main Administration of Criminal Search of the Russian MIA (GUUR). On December 2, 2015 security forces raided the Ivanovo billiard club Traectoriya. During his search, they found about 3 grams of amphetamine, which gave occasion to a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code (Illegal purchase, storage, transportation, manufacturing, processing without a purpose of selling of narcotics, psychotropic substances or their analogues in a large scale).
By the decision of the Oktyabrsky Court of Ivanovo Danelia was arrested and placed in the premises used as the detention facility on the territory of Kineshma women's prison. Later, it was reported that Ika, being in jail, made a formal marriage with a resident of the Ivanovo Region, and even wrote a confession, which contravenes the "thieves’" code.
