On the eve, Ukrainian law enforcers have detained one of his underbosses.
In Ukraine, a protege of famous Azerbaijani kingpin Nadir Salifov nicknamed Guli was detained. According to the press service of the Ukrainian National Police, Salifov, who is serving a long prison term, appointed his protege the underboss for ethnic organized criminal group, which operated in the Odessa region.
According to the National Police of Ukraine, 26-year-old Guli's protege had already been detained in the territory of Ukraine. It happened in November 2016. Then, during the personal search, law enforcers found at him weapons and drugs, which led to a criminal investigation. However, the court elected him a preventive measure not providing an arrest. Freed, the underboss avoided justice. During the search for the fugitive security forces identified the vehicle, on which he can move. During the arrest, the suspect maintained resistance to law enforcement agencies. After the detention he was taken to the Limansky department of the Odessa police, after which he was transferred to the pre-trial detention center.
According to the investigation, having taken a five-billion loan ($88.7m) from Sberbank in 2008, the owner of Pavlovskgranit deliberately split up the assets of the company so that creditors could not bring a charge against him to court.
