Failed 'coronation': All participants of notorious mafia gathering in Karlovy Vary identified
The former mafia enforcer in Sochi went to the Czech resort not only to "receive treatment in thermal springs", according to him, but also to enlist the support of Gela and Gia Kutaissky and their ‘godchildren’.
Seven people participated in the meeting of authoritative Russian businessman Ruben Tatulyan with several representatives of the criminal world, which the media call a gathering of thieves in law.
On May 13 operatives of the Office for Combating Organized Crime of the Czech Ministry of Internal Affairs carried out an operation to detain several foreigners, staying at the Grand Hotel Pupp, in a summer cafe in Stara Louka Street between two pedestrian bridges across the Tepla River in Karlovy Vary.
Apart from Tatulyan, who later categorically denied the fact of pastime in the thieves’ company in a number of media, Czech policemen detained criminals Gela Kardava (Gela) with false documents in the name of Oleg Golomb, Gayoz Zviadadze (Gia Kutaissky) and Oleg Zabrodin.
Now it became known that seven people took part in the meeting in Karlovy Vary. In addition to the previously mentioned, the police detained 48-year-old Andronik Mumdzhyan, 30-year-old Artur Kardagaev and 40-year-old Vachagan Tashchyan.
As The CrimeRussia has previously reported, according to Czech law enforcers, the meeting in Karlovy Vary financed by Tatulyan, known as Robson in the south of Russia, was held to ‘crown’ new thieves in law. Mumdzhyan, Tashchyan and Kardagayev could be candidates for the ‘thieves' crown’. There is no exact information about the first two yet, but it is known that Artur Kardagayev, detained by Czech guards of order, is not a random person in the criminal environment. According to some reports, Karadagayev is an accomplice of Krasnodar thief in law Koba Dzidzishvili, who is serving a sentence for extortion. Kardagayev himself was put on the wanted list of the FSB in the Krasnodar Territory for the same crime.
It was due to the presence of Ruben Tatulyan, the holder of the diplomatic passport of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the assistant to State Duma deputy from the United Russia party Alexander Karelin and the well-known businessman, that information about the detention of participants of the thieves' meeting in the Czech resort evolved into a cause célèbre.

He himself reacted to the media reports nervously. Moreover, the appearance of Ruben Tatulyan in the company of Gela and Giya Kutaissky causes a double damage to his image – both in the eyes of the public, to whom he is a "law-abiding entrepreneur" and an Armenian diplomat, and in the criminal environment where Tatulyan Robson is known as a protege in Sochi of thief in law Aslan Usoyan (Ded Hassan), and after his death – Zakhar Kalashov (Shakro Molodoy). Gela and recently released from prison Gia Kutaissky are known as ideological opponents of Shakro Molodoy.

Their presence at the Karlovy Vary meeting with Tatulyan inevitably suggests that the ex-mafia enforcer in Sochi is planning to strengthen his positions in the criminal environment of the south of Russia. He can do this through an alliance with thieves in law that call into question the leadership of Shakro Molodoy and Yury Pichugin (Pichuga) (who are currently in prison) in the thieves' world. The potential ‘godchildren’ of Gela and Gia Kutaissky, who are likely to be Tashchyan and Kardagarov, could provide great help to Robson.
Kadyrov made Mohamed Salah, a forward for Liverpool and the Egyptian national team, a Chechen citizen of honor. The City of Grozny organized a celebratory supper for Egyptian football players after a prayer at the Serdtse Chechny (‘Chechnya's Heart’) Mosque.
Previously, thief in law Aleksandr Makaryan (Alo) faced a similar charge for marijuana possession. They both were detained along with 30 more thieves and crime lords during a major ‘purge’ conducted by Armenian law enforcers after Nikol Pashinyan came to power.
"A dacha is a place for your own pleasure," Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg (ZakS) Vyacheslav Makarov once said. Today, this expression sounds special. The northern capital finds itself in the center of the scandal. The ground for the scandal is three state dachas in the village of Solnechnoe, which the Speaker rented on a par with large families, disabled people, and veterans of the Second World War.
