In Kyrgyzstan, the investigation into the illegal release of thief in law Aziz Batukayev is being continued. Ex-Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan Aida Salyanova has become a new figure in the case, Komsomolskaya Pravda writes.

Her colleague Mairambek Akmataliev testified against her; he agreed to cooperate with the investigation. There was a confrontation between Akmataliev and Salyanova. According to deputy of the Parliament Almambet Shykmamatov, who later visited Salyanova in the temporary detention center, Akmataliev ratted her out to be released.

Earlier, The CrimeRussia has written about the arrest of Akmataliev. The investigation into the case of Aziz's escape was unexpectedly resumed in April 2019. Its defendants have already become oncologists, laboratory assistant and the judge who decided to release him.

Medical experts have established the forgery of documents over revealing cancer in Batukaev. Also, the former adviser to the chairman of the State Service for the Execution of Sentences, Kalybek Kachkynaliev, and the former Deputy Prime Minister, Shamil Atakhanov, were arrested. The case also includes the ex-Health Minister, Dinara Saginbaeva. She was recently placed under house arrest.

Batukaev was released, serving less than half the term. In 2006, he was sentenced to 16 years and 8 months in prison for illegal possession of weapons and drugs, organizing a riot in the colony, and complicity in the murder of a deputy of parliament. On April 9, 2013, the court decided to release him from punishment out of a fatal disease. Batukaev did not lose time and flew to Chechnya on the same day, where he is living till this day.
