Ex-Health Minister of Kirgizia arrested in ‘thief in law’ Aziz’s case
Dinara Saginbaeva was placed in a remand prison following the interrogation.
Law enforcers in Kirgizia arrested a former Health Minister Dinara Saginbaeva within a case into release from a colony a Chechen ‘thief in law’ Aziz Batukaev, reports 24.kg news agency with reference to MIA.
The agency notes that the day before, the former official was interrogated. After that, she was placed in a remand prison. Dinara Saginbaeva was the Health Minister from 2011 till 2014.
The CrimeRussia reported earlier the case into illegal release of Aziz from a colony was opened in January, 2019. In a couple of months, three other doctors of the State Service for Execution of Punishment (including an ex-head of the medical service, as well as a representative of the Ministry of Health) became the defendants in the case. Besides that, oncology specialist Emil Bakimbetov was detained. Thus, there is a total of 6 defendants in the case.
Batukaev was released from a strict regime colony in 2013 by decision of a court - after he was diagnosed with acute leukemia. In 6 hours after the verdict was delivered, Batukaev set off from Bishkek to Grozny by a charter flight. The prison break was reportedly provided by a State Duma member Adam Delimkhanov who is Ramzan Kadyrov’s right-hand man.
Aziz has influential protectors in Chechnya. They held their hands to the fact that he had been ‘provided’ with 2 criminal cases in his motherland: into drugs and a road accident. Thanks to it, Batukaev managed to stay in the Republic. Photos of the ‘thief in law’ spending time in amusement facilities of the region had repeatedly emerged on the web.
The detention is related to the investigation into the abduction and murder of Tatyana Sidorova, a deputy of the Ramenskoye District Legislature, and three members of her family, which occurred back in 2012.
