Detention of Head of interdistrict ICR Department in Kalmykia was called continuation of elimination
Savr Chonaev is suspected of extorting a bribe of 1 million rubles.
The Head of Sarpinsky interdistrict Investigation Department of the Investigation Commettee (the ICR) in Kalmykia Savr Chonaev is suspected of extorting a bribe of 1 million rubles. Chonaev was arrested while receiving 400 thousand rubles.
With regard to Chonaev a criminal case under Art. 290 of the Criminal Code (Bribe-Taking) was opened. As explained in the press service of the Investigation Department of the ICR, according to the investigation, the suspect involved in the extortion of compensation for the non-bringing to responsibility the accused of crime under part 3 of Article 134 of the Criminal Code (Sexual Intercourse and Other Actions of Sexual Character with a Person Who Has Not Reached the Age of Sixteen Years).
The Head of the ICR’s press service Vladimir Markin said that the detention of Chonaev is a continuation of a series of loud eliminations, which has began in the department.
It is to be recalled that on suspicion of taking bribes to favor the thief in law Shakro Molodoy there were arrested senior officers - the first Deputy Head of the Main Investigations Directorate for the City of Moscow of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Denis Nikandrov, the Head of the Main Directorate for Interdepartmental Liaison and Internal Security of the ICR Mikhail Maksimenko and his Deputy Alexander Lamonov has been received. The evidence of Nikandrov‘s communication with Shakro Molodoy became a correspondence in WhatsApp on kingpin‘s phone.
