Deputy Head of Internal Security Department of ICR Aleksandr Lamonov is accused of taking bribes
Arrested Deputy Head of the Internal Security Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Aleksandr Lamonov is charged with taking bribes.
According to the defendant's lawyer Alexey Noskov, the Deputy Head of the ISD of the ICR Aleksandr Lamonov is accused under part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code (Bribe-taking in an especially large scale). At the same time lawyer added that the defendant has denied his guilt.
Another Lamonov's lawyer Olga Lukmanova said her client did not know neither Kalashov ( Shakro Molodoy) nor Kochuikov (Italian).
On July 19, 2016 Lamonov, the Head of Department of physical protection of the Russian Investigative Committee Mikhail Maksimenko, and the Deputy Head of the Main Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee in Moscow Major General Denis Nikandrov were arrested on charges of receiving bribes. Investigators believe that those arrested were involved in early release of Andrey Kochuikov Italian – the right hand of the leader of the criminal world Shakro Molodoy. In addition, it was obtained the evidence that senior investigators received a bribe for termination of the case in respect of the Shakro.
The prosecutors want the former Russian Federation Council member to go to prison for 14 years instead of 9 and pay a 500-million-ruble ($8.8 million) fine instead of 70 million rubles ($1.2 million).
