Cyprus: thief in law Garib ran away from policemen on way to court

Garib managed to get away from the convoy once his handcuffs were removed. Together with an accomplice-rider the thief in law disappeared in an unknown direction.

The Cyprus’s police conduct operational activities searching kingpin Arthur Kuznetsov (Gharibyan), who escaped from custody on his way to the court in Nicosia. In this regard, the media spread the pictures of the fugitive.

According to News Agency of Cyprus, the escape, which the Russian thief in law made directly from a police van in the presence of the guards once his handcuffs were removed, was organized in the spirit of a Hollywood blockbuster. After this, 42-year-old thief in law disappeared, having left on a motorcycle with an accomplice, who secretly accompanied the police car with the detainee on the way to the court.

Arthur Kuznetsov, who has Russian and Ukrainian citizenship, was detained at the airport of Larnaca on the Russian request, said news agency Sputnik.

Upon the escape the police of Cyprus conduct an internal investigation. It is reported that a leak of information about the route of the detainee in the court is one of the version.

Recall that Arthur Kuznetsov (Gharibyan) known by the nicknames Gharib and Little Arthur was a puppet of kingpin Aslan Usoyana (Ded Hasan) in the Krasnodar region.
