Wife of crooked Crimean official sells hotel for $8.6 million
It is located in Balaclava.
The wife of Crimean Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Nakhlupin, who was sent to a detention center on corruption charges, put up for sale hotel in Balaclava owned by her family, Telegram channel Krymsky Kanal (Crimean Channel) informs.
The object is sold at 565 million rubles ($8.6 m), that is, at 381 thousand ($5.8 thousand) per square meter. As the channel notes, the wife of Nakhlupin needs money for her husband’s staying in prison, which is costly. Furthermore, the corruption article provides for a pecuniary penalty.
As previously written by The CrimeRussia, the official was detained in Moscow on suspicion of receiving a bribe on the application of a contractor of Tavrida Highway - CJSC VAD.
Later, the Basmanny Court sent Nakhlupin to a reprimand center, since the investigation insisted that the official could hide (he has already tried to go to Donetsk), in Ukraine he is wanted for treason.
Nakhlupin dealt with issues of socio-economic development of the Crimea, became a member of the regional Council of Ministers in January 2016. Prior to that, he oversaw economic issues in parliament since 2010.
