Ulyukaev’s lawyer: publication of Sechin’s testimonies obstructs activity of defense
Daridzhan Kveidze does not understand “who and why” published the information.
Alexey Ulyukaev’s lawyer Daridzhan Kveidze commented on the publication of exposures of the protocol of interrogations of head of Rosneft oil company Igor Sechin within the case of his client accused of bribe taking of 2 million dollars.
According to Kveidze, such publications hinder both the side of defense, and prosecution.
“Honestly, I want to say that we, lawyers, are confused. I cannot understand, for what purpose and who did it. It hinders both defense, and prosecution. All these questions should be considered in court, but not in the media”, RBC quotes the lawyer.
She also noted that she did not understand who exactly the author of the publication tried to discredit - lawyers or defendants in the case. Kveidzhe emphasized that she considered this as violation of the law. “We gave a subscription about nondisclosure of the case papers”, she reminded.
Earlier press secretary of the Rosneft company Mikhail Leontyev called the publication of BBC false and a fabrication.
As the CrimeRussia wrote, BBC published exposures from protocols of three interrogations of Sechin. Some information in them contradicts the statements made earlier in the court.
