Ulyukaev’s detention is not a reason for Government's resignation
The Kremlin does not find grounds for the Government’s resignation.
The presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that he does not find causes for the Government's resignation in connection with the arrest of the Minister of Economic Development Alexey Ulyukaev. According to the edition Medusa, Peskov told: "In this case it is absurd to talk about some kind of collective responsibility."
In addition, according to Peskov, it will not cast a pall over on the investment climate in Russia.
Last night the Investigative Committee detained the Head of the Economic Development Ministry Alexey Ulyukaev. He is accused of taking bribes in the amount of $ 2 million for the assessment, which allowed Rosneft to buy Bashneft’s state-owned shares.

The Ulyukaev’s Deputy Evgeny Elin is appointed the Acting Minister of Economic Development, according to the press secretary of the Russian Prime Minister Natalia Timakova.
Lieutenant General Oleg Troshin announced he is going to retire in May 2018. He is doing it following a decision taken a year ago – not due to non-existent issues with the agency reported by some local media outlets.
