Ulyukaev never seen $ 2 mln bribe

Novaya Gazeta citing its own sources in the ICR, announced an alternative version of a detention of the Minister of Economic Development Alexey Ulyukaev. According to a source, Ulyukaev have never seen the alleged bribe of $ 2 million. The money was placed in a safe deposit box, but the Minister did take them from it. However, investigation carried out jointly with the Head of Rosneft security service Oleg Feoktistov “indicate presence of the Minister’s claims for the money."
It was also reported, the official’s detention was carried by the 3d Department K of the FSB (investigation of crimes in the credit and financial sphere) and the 6th Internal Security Department of the FSB.
On the night of November 14 the Minister of Economic Development Alexey Ulyukaev was arrested on suspicion of taking a bribe of $ 2 million, allegedly promised to him for his support to Rosneft in purchase of state-owned shares of the Bashneft company.
As previously reported, the FSB officers have been wiretapping his phone conversations since summer of this year. The President of the Russian Federation has been aware of the operation against Ulyukaev since the start.
The Ulyukaev’s deputy Alexey Vedev has been appointed the Acting Minister of Economic Development.
