In Ufa, 44-year-old prosecutor of the Soviet district of Ufa Ramil Garifullin was detained while receiving a bribe in the amount of more than 5 million rubles ($71.600), the press service of the Kyrgyz Republic reports. According to investigators, the prosecutor promised "general patronage" to the local businessman for this money.
The detention took place on Monday, September 10, right in the building of the district Prosecutor's Office. Garifullin received money from businessman through an intermediary. The details of the accident are to be established.
A criminal case is initiated on the fact of taking a bribe on an especially large scale (Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The detention was preceded by "verification measures" conducted by the employees of the BIA of the Bashkir Prosecutor's Office and the FSB department in the republic.
Ramil Garifullin was appointed prosecutor of the Sovetsky district of Ufa on June 10, 2015. Before that, he was a prosecutor of the Ufimsky district.
