Two ICR investigators detained while receiving bribe of $ 76,000
A criminal case is initiated against the suspects.
Officers of the ICR and FSB detained investigators Sergey Dubinsky and Andrey Trinev while the latter were receiving a bribe of 5 million rubles ($ 76,000). The ICR initiated a criminal case under part 6 of Article 290 CCRF. In the near future, the suspects will be charged, after which the ICR will send the petition for arrest to the court, the official representative of the department Svetlana Petrenko reports.
“The investigators of the central office, together with the Directorate “M” of the FSB of Russia detained the persons in question red-handed. The investigation does not intend to conceal neither the criminal facts themselves, nor the persons who committed them – all the more so if we are talking about the officers of the investigating authorities, about those who violated the oath,” Petrenko said.
On November 17, ex-investigator of the ICR Nikolay Vorobyov, who was accused of embezzling and selling 11 kg of cocaine, was arrested in St. Petersburg. Earlier, he had been working on the drug trafficking case against a well-known athlete and employee of the Federal Drug Control Service.
