Trial of first deputy chairman of regional government Andreev begins in Ryazan
The prosecutor's office of the Ryazan region sent a criminal case, initiated against first deputy chairman of the regional government Dmitry Andreev, to court.
The official is incriminated bribery.
According to the press service of regional prosecutor's office, Dmitry Andreev was arrested on October 6, he is suspected of large-scale bribery.
Investigating bodies established that Dmitry Andreev received more than 1,7 million rubles ($29 577) from one of local businessmen in exchange for protection. In addition, the deputy minister of agricultural industry of the region Gennady Nozdrin fell under investigation, he is also convicted of bribery.
Law enforcement authorities found out that in May of the last year Gennady Nozdrin together with still unidentified official received 30 thousand rubles from the director of one of agricultural enterprises. In exchange they promised him to help with receipt of credit subsidies.
In July, 2016 Gennady Nozdrin received 500 more thousand rubles using the similar scheme. During the first judicial session the official declared that he took money for Dmitry Andreyev. They were meant for an election campaign and a birthday gift.
The Kremlin was told that they use Telegram for internal communications. However, if it is blocked, the staff of the Presidential Administration is ready to switch to another messenger, said Dmitry Peskov.
Deputy of Izhevsk Zakhar Milostivenko was detained the day before on suspicion of "restricting competition". Sources clarify that the case of the parliamentarian is connected with the criminal case of Alexander Soloviev, accused of multimillion bribes.
