Sverdlovsk Region: head of city utilities convicted of drunk driving without driver’s license
The MUP director was also accused of violating anti-corruption legislation.
The court of the town of Sukhoy Log, the Sverdlovsk Region, found Oleg Mamayev, Director of the Gorkomhoz Municipal Unitary Enterprise guilty of drunk driving without a driver's license, which he had previously been deprived of for a similar crime (Article 264.1 CCRF). The head of the municipal enterprise was sentenced to 280 hours of compulsory work, and was forbidden to drive for two years and six months, the press service of the regional Prosecutor's Office reports.
Mamayev was detained at night driving a company car. During the examination, it turned out that earlier the MUP director had already been caught driving drunk and deprived of his driver's license. In addition, Mamayev has repeatedly used the company car for personal purposes without issuing vouchers and undergoing technical inspections, which is contrary to the requirements of the anti-corruption law. For this, Mamayev was reprimanded.
