Sverdlovsk police officer detained while receiving $ 30,000 bribe
The operative served in the anti-corruption department; on February 14, the investigation will forward a petition for arrest to the court.
The Yekaterinburg police and FSB officers detained an operative of the Economic Security and Anti-Corruption Directorate of the MIA’s Directorate for the Sverdlovsk Region, Dmitry Savin, receiving a bribe of 2 million rubles ($ 30,000). The suspect was delivered to the Investigative Committee, which on February 14 will appeal to the court with the request to take Savin into custody, Znak.com reports.
Savin was detained for 48 hours. If his guilt is confirmed, he will be fired from the bodies. In addition, a source of the Ural publication reported that on the night of February 13, the security forces conducted searches in the MIA’s Regional Department of Economic Security for Yekaterinburg and the same department of the MIA’s Main Directorate for the Sverdlovsk Region.
