State prosecution announced completion of Belykh’s three-day interrogation
In the last day, the prosecution focused on the episode of receiving money from the owner of the New Vyatka ski plant Juri Sudheimer.
Ex-Governor of the Kirov region Nikita Belykh told that prior to the meeting with the businessman in Lotta Plaza bar he met Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, RIA Novosti reports.
After that, according to Belykh, Mr. Sudheimer said that he was late and asked him to go down to the cafe. “Happy birthday, Nikita Yuryevich,” with such words, Belykh noted, the businessman handed him a bag.
Field investigators of the Federal Security Service carried out detention after the end of the meeting – when Sudheimer and Belykh left the restaurant. “I was sure that they were detaining the businessman. He used to always say that he was afraid and that he had problems”, the former Head of the region told in court.
To recall, former ex-Governor of the Kirov region Nikolay Belykh is accused of bribe-taking of 600 thousand euros. According to the investigators, the former Head of the region illegally received money through intermediaries during 2012-2016.
