St. Petersburg LUVDT Police Head detained for bribery
The FSB in St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region detained Acting Police Head of the St. Petersburg Linear Department of Internal Affairs on Transport (LUVDT) Roman Frolov.
According to Fontanka, the police officer was detained at the store Maxidom on Moskovsky Prospect when receiving 250 thousand rubles as a bribe from the businessman.
In exchange for this amount, a law enforcement source added, Frolov promised a protection to businessman. At present, the issue of a criminal case initiation is at stake.
RIA Novosti noted that Frolov previously headed the Department for Combating Economic Crimes in the St. Petersburg LUVDT responsible for the Oktyabrskaya Railway.
Police officers took Kristina Morozova to a police station to check her identity, where she ended up getting a closed craniocerebral injury, minor cerebral contusion, fissure fracture of her cheekbone, fracture of her left sphenoid bone, and large leg bruise.
Viktor Trutnev, ex-Head of the Moscow Criminal Investigation Department, has finished his career ‘in style’ – he went to jail. Trutnev was turned in by his former accomplices – FSB officers trying to extort 3 million rubles ($52.3 thousand) from the Director of Snegirev Research Technological Institute in exchange for covering up violations identified at the enterprise.
