Security forces raid Ust-Labinsk administration within orphans prison barracks case
When inspecting apartments for displaced persons, moldy mushrooms were found on the premises.
The administration of Ust-Labinsk district and head of the municipality Nikolay Artyushchenko, suspected of buying prison barracks for orphans, are searched; the investigators seized documents. The disputed premises examined and the mold and other violations of sanitary standards on the walls have has been found, the ICR of Krasnodar Krai reports.
According to investigators, the administration of Ust-Labinsky district bought eight apartments for orphans in the village of Dvubratsky at an inflated price, and earlier head of the area Artyushchenko signed acts of acceptance and transfer of premises without conducting a mandatory check on compliance with sanitary and technical standards. Residents submitted collective complaints to the administration with a request to eliminate the violations but received no response.
The district administration stated that the inspection of the premises was carried out and no violations were detected. An inquiry organized by the Investigatiму Committee found multiple traces of mold. Administration paid for premises more than 9.4 million rubles. Prisoners were kept there.
On February 4, the investigating authorities initiated a criminal case on abuse of power against Artyushchenko.
