Rostov region: Head of Anti-Corruption Department sacked in connection with loss of confidence
Governor of the Rostov Region Vasily Golubev signed a decree on dismissal of Head of the regional Anti-Corruption Department Sergey Zhukov.
The news portal Bolshoi Rostov reported that, according to unconfirmed data, Zhukov was dismissed with the phrase "in connection with the loss of confidence." The exact reason for the dismissal of the Head of the Rostov region Anti-Corruption Department is not yet known.
However, in May this year, the regional FSB operatives of Russia together with colleagues of the Krasny Kolos village Rosalkogolregulirovanie in the Aksai district eliminated an illicit alcohol production workshop. According to the Rostov media, traces led to the Head of the regional Department for Combating Corruption.
It is reported that Zhukov worked in this position less than a year. Previously, he headed the Zavetinsky district of the Rostov region for five years.
The special services believe that Russian Interior Ministry officials could have cooperated with the press to sell passport applications and border-crossing data of the two men suspected of poisoning the Skripals in Salisbury.
