Rostov region: Ex-deputy head of Zernogradsk police dept detained for bribery
The ex-police officer was detained in late September 2017.
According to the investigation, the police officer had been offered a bribe of 50 thousand rubles ($860) for not seizing the property of a person involved in one of the cases. After receiving the illegal monetary compensation, the suspect was detained by officers of the FSB office in the Rostov region.
A criminal case under Bribe-taking was initiated against the man. As reported by the press service of the ICR Investigations Directorate in the Rostov region, custodial placement was elected as a preventive measure for him. Based on the results of a check, the employee has been dismissed for negative reasons and will be prosecuted in accordance with the current legislation.
