Pskov region: official is subject to prosecution for granting unauthorized bonus
Gennady Ioylev has granted himself a bonus of 43 thousand rubles ($657).
In the Pskov region, investigators have initiated a criminal case under Abuse of Official Powers against Chief State Labor Inspector of the region Gennady Ioylev. The senior official is accused of issuing himself a bonus from the budget. This is reported by TASS.
The investigators believe that Ioylev granted himself 43 thousand rubles.
“He signed an order to reward workers, to whom he set a bonus, including to himself, in the amount of 42,857 rubles. Thus, he illegally appointed and paid himself the money remuneration,” the agency cites the Investigative Committee.
The Regional Prosecutor's Office has taken charge of the investigation into the criminal case. The official faces up to 4 years of imprisonment.
It concerns entrepreneur Dmitry Motorin, Boris Usherovich, a co-owner of the Group of Companies 1520, and Novoe Vremya board member, Ivan Stankevich. Motorin is accused of giving a bribe on an especially large scale, and Stankevich and Usherovich are charged with bribe-taking.
This week, the judicial debates in the trial of Vladimir Barsukov-Kumarin charged with creation of Tambovskie organized criminal group have been finished in the Kuibyshevsky District Court of St. Petersburg. If the court upholds the stance of the state prosecution, the once-influential criminal ‘authority’ may be convicted to almost 25 years behind bars. In reality, this translates into a life term for the legend of criminal St. Petersburg.
