Prosecutor General's Office requests to seize property of colonel Zakharchenko’s accomplice
Dmitry Senin’s apartments and cars are estimated at $ 5,75 million.
The Prosecutor General’s Office sent a petition to the court in which demanded that the movable and immovable property of the person involved in the corruption case of Colonel MVD Dmitry Zakharchenko, the FSB Colonel Dmitry Senin, be turned into state income. Senin’s property is worth 380 million rubles ($ 5,75 million, the press service of the supervisory authority reports.
The list of property to be seized included 28 apartments in Moscow and the Moscow Region, as well as five expensive cars Senin and his relatives own. According to the investigation, the said property was acquired for illegally obtained funds.
It is to be recalled that Zakharchenko was arrested in 2016 on charges of bribery. The court seized 9 billion rubles ($ 136,000) from him, but only six thousand reached the state treasury. Dmitry Senin is mentioned in one of the episodes of Zakharchenko’s case. The FSB colonel fled from justice, having left Russia using forged documents. A criminal desertion case was initiated against him.
Preliminary hearings of the case pertaining to embezzlements committed during the construction of notorious Zenit Arena haven’t commenced yet – but the trial of Marat Oganesyan already ceased to be monotonous. The former Deputy Head of the St. Petersburg Municipal Administration has directly hinted at the involvement of his successor – current Vice Governor Albin – in the embezzlement of billions of rubles.
