Prosecutor General's Office finds Colonel Zakharchenko’s assets worth $7.3mn
In the near future, the Office will submit an action for the forfeiture of this property.
The Prosecutor General's Office will submit another action for the forfeiture of Billionaire Colonel Dmitry Zakharchenko’s property, Office Spokesperson Alexander Kurennoy said on the air of Efir TV channel.
The value of the property is 484 million rubles ($7.32 million).
Earlier, 9 billion rubles ($136.3 million) that had been found in the apartments of Zakharchenko and his relatives were transferred to the budget.
The former deputy head of the Department 'T’ of the MIA General Administration for Economic Security and Combatting the Corruption (GUEBiPK) was detained in September 2017 on charges of taking a bribe of 7 million rubles ($105,980). Later, he was charged with a few more episodes of Bribe-Taking. Almost 9 billion rubles ($136.3 million) were found in the apartment of the colonel’s relatives; Zakharchenko could not explain the origin of the money.
