Primorye Governor's inner circle received into prison
People close to Vladimir Miklushevsky find themselves behind bars increasingly frequently.
Chairman of the regional Miners Union Alexey Avershin and general director of Teleradiokompaniya Novaya Volna LLC Marina Sviridova are taken into custody. They are charged with part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code (Swindling).
According to the decision of the Leninsky District Court of Vladivostok, suspects spend two months in the city's pre-trial detention center.
As the CrimeRussia previously reported, the ICR in the Primorye region has not commented on this criminal case. However, according to the media, businessmen are suspected of fraud in the public procurement.
Note that Marina Sviridova is the wife of the hockey club Admiral general director, as well as the spin doctor, grey cardinal of the region Ilya Spokoynov (also known as Mit'kin and Zel'dovich). Earlier, the media reported that security forces also detained the spin master, but he quickly denied this information. In addition, he is assured that his wife is innocent.
As for Alexey Avershin, his person became media since that time he gave a ride to Governor Miklushevsky on a personal helicopter Robinson R66. State Duma deputies Sergey Obukhov and Valery Rashkin asked the Prosecutor General's Office and the Presidential Anti-Corruption Department to check the legality of a private helicopter usage by the Governor. Then, Avershin said, the helicopter is in his property and he leases it to everyone.
In addition, vice-governors Oleg Yezhov and Sergey Sidorenko have been arrested this year. The first is accused of 24.5 million rubles' corruption with payments for construction and installation work under the state contract. Yezhov is in jail since the spring of this year. Sidorenko is accused of attempted swindling in the distribution of compensation to agricultural enterprises. The damage is estimated at 10 million rubles. The official is placed under house arrest.
After the arrests of ministers and billionaires, the business elite has understood – no one is invulnerable in Russia anymore. Recently industrial giant Power Machines Open Joint Stock Company has been shaken – the surprising arrest of its General Director by the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation amid the escalating international ‘turbine’ scandal has resulted in a criminal case and high-profile resignation.
The Moscow lawyer filed a lawsuit asking the Ministry to explain on what grounds parliamentarians are being paid colossal amounts, while the majority of Russian pensioners "drag out a half-subsistence existence."
