Primorye Gosavtodornadzor Head accused of bribe-taking on a large scale
Yuri Gubarev is detained, the investigation seeks the arrest.
Security forces detained Head of the State Road Supervision Department (Gosavtodornadzor) in the Primorsky Territory Yuri Gubarev. The official is charged with Bribe-Taking on an especially large scale (part 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code).
Official's lawyer Sergey Vertelov told Interfax on initiation a criminal case. However, the defender did not disclose details of the case. The Investigative Committee does not give any information about the criminal case against the Head of the Primorye Gosavtodornadzor.
It is known that his office and apartment were searched. According to regional media, the director of bus company surrendered Gubarev. He said that gave the Head of the Gosavtodornadzor a bribe through two inspectors. Gubarev agreed not to apply to penalties to the businessman for the bribe.
The Gubarev's lawyer said the issue of preventive measure will be resolved. Sergey Vertelov noted that the investigation wanted to place the official into custody, adding that the defense would insist on house arrest or release on bail.

The Moscow Garrison Military Court has recently detained the retired general for the duration of the investigation. The former police commander is accused of mediation in bribery and bribe extortion. Trutnev was turned in by his former accomplices – FSB officers trying to extort 3 million rubles ($52.3 thousand) from the Director of Snegirev Research Technological Institute in exchange for covering up violations identified at the enterprise.
