Perm Sports Minister arrested
Pavel Lyakh may be involved in thefts during the reconstruction of the Dynamo stadium.
The Minister of Sports for the Perm Region Pavel Lyakh has been arrested by the regional FSB, according to the Kommersant. Earlier, in July, the court had arrested the Lyakh’s former Deputy Ruslan Sadchenko. He was involved in the case of embezzlement of budget funds initiated in May.
According to the police, during the 2015 reconstruction of Dinamo stadium in Perm almost 13 million rubles were stolen with the use of forged documents. Two entrepreneurs - Dmitry Perfiliev and Aleksandr Tarhov are also involved in the case. All of them are charged with swindling.
The Acting Minister Pavel Lyakh, who was previously involved in the case as a witness, is known to have signed an work acceptance protocol worth 45.5 million rubles.
Despite the fact that the head of the state corporation Rostec claimed he did not aspire to become prime minister in 2017, already in 2018 the media reported that he might join the government after all.
