Pension Fund to be replenished with corrupt officials’ money
According to the Federal Treasury, the estimated amount of funds in the years 2019-2024 will be 1.8 billion rubles ($25.8m).
A law entered into force in 2019, according to which the money confiscated as a result of the disclosure of corruption crimes will be added to the Pension Fund of Russia.
The law envisages both seizing money from bribe takers and selling their property.
According to the Federal Treasury, the estimated amount of funds in the years 2019-2024 will be 1.8 billion rubles ($25.8m). Valery Ryazansky, Federation Council head of the Social Policy Dept, said that the law is supposed to satisfy people’s need for justice.
Gadzhiev was detained on June 14. A criminal case was initiated against him about participation in a terrorist organization (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code) and promotion of terrorism (part 4 of article 205.1 of the Criminal Code).
