Pension Fund deputy head detained for bribing after searches
According to some reports, the official was paid by an employee of the Tekhnoserv IT integrator, who has also been detained.
Alexey Ivanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Pension Fund of Russia (PFR), has been detained in Moscow after searches, reported Kommersant citing sources.
The PFR stated that the incident had no effect on the work of the organization. The ICR confirmed the detention had taken place, without revealing more details.
In turn, Vedomosti pens that an employee of the Tekhnoserv IT integrator was detained for allegedly paying the bribe to Ivanov who helped him get contacts for equipment supply several years ago.
The interlocutors of the publication also said that documents were seized at the PFR, as well as in the offices of Technoserv and Redsis.
Alexey Ivanov became an adviser to the chairman of the board of the PFR in 2016. In April 2017, he was appointed deputy chairman of the fund. He oversees information technology, telecommunications, information security, and electronic services provision to the Pension Fund.
Presumably, it concerns the US response to Ukraine’s help in the investigation against Joseph Biden, Trump’s main rival in the 2020 presidential election, who allegedly was in collusion with Kiev during the previous campaign.
