Oryol: Head of public utilities department placed under house arrest for bribery
At the request of the investigation, the Zavodskoy District Court of Oryol has elected a preventive measure in the form of 2-month house arrest for Director of Oryol Public Utilities Department Ekaterina Strelets, suspected of bribe-taking.
As KP-Oryol reports, investigators of the regional FSB Administration have initiated a criminal case under Bribe-Taking against Ekaterina Strelets.
According to the investigation, April 15, 2016, the suspect received a bribe in the amount of 3,500 dollars (200 thousand rubles) from a director general of two commercial structures while in the workplace.
The publication notes that in exchange for this amount, Strelets had to make a decision on the payment of upcoming and completed work under municipal contracts for road works.
Ekaterina Strelets was detained on April 5 after the ROU Municipal Unitary Enterprise controlled by the official was searched.
