One of Rostov police gang members gets new post
Colonel Anatoly Azarov works in the administration of Stary Oskol now.
Former deputy chief of police for operational work of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Rostov region Colonel Anatoly Azarov received the post of Deputy Head of the administration of the Starooskolsky urban district of the Belgorod region, 1rnd.ru reports. Azarov, who was among the alleged leaders of a criminal group consisting of members of the Rostov Central Board, also holds the post of Secretary of the Security Council of Stary Oskol.
Azarov was appointed to a new post on February 1. Information about the new deputy head of the administration is published on the site of the city district.
The CrimeRussia wrote that the a group of law enforcers, including head of the operative-search part of the security of the administration Nikolay Germashev, head of the criminal investigation department Evgeny Germashev and Anatoly Azarov, committed crimes in the period of 2016 and 2017. Police are suspected of framing up against Rostov policemen and extorting money from them, sometimes torturing them. There is also information that the siloviki sold appointments, removed ‘unnecessary people’ and patronized thieves in law.
After the service check, Germashevs were dismissed, and Azarov retired on seniority. On February 3, the Leninsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don arrested Nikolay Germashev at the request of the investigation. He is suspected of Abuse of Official Powers (part 1 of Article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). It is reported that he was the grey owner of the Slinugol coal mining company.
