On fact of embezzlement of 1.5 million rubles at Vostochniy cosmodrome it was opened new case
The Military Prosecutor's Office revealed a collusion of the general contractor with subcontractors, who have received money under the state contract and did not fulfil the work.
The Military Prosecutor's Office in the Eastern Military District found regular budget funds embezzlement during the construction of the Vostochniy cosmodrome.
According to prosecutors, the prime contractor of the construction of infrastructure spaceport is one of the enterprises subordinated to Spetsstroy Russia, it conspired with three subcontractors. The general contractor has signed agreements with companies to perform the same work on the waterproofing of one object of the cosmodrome. All three companies have been listed money, but none of them did not start waterproofing.
Subsequently, these companies, names of which the press service of the Main Military Prosecutor's Office has not reported, ceased to exist. Taken together, the general contractor and its subcontractors have stolen more than 1.5 million rubles.
Contractors of the government contract were prosecuted.
The construction of the Vostochniy cosmodrome began in the Amur region in 2012. The date of completion of the cosmodrome was repeatedly postponed. The construction of the Vostochniy was accompanied by scandals and high-profile criminal cases on the facts of theft, non-payment of salaries and bribery. Total under investigation there are more than 20 criminal cases. The amount of thefts has exceeded 5 billion rubles.
Rosfinmonitoring (Federal Financial Monitoring Service) analyzed the data of the Panama Papers and the Paradise Papers and discovered thousands of offshore companies through which the Russians laundered billions of rubles. Materials on deputies and governors were handed over to law enforcers.
A spokesperson of the Prosecutor's office said that the ECHR had not studied all the materials of the criminal case, so they were offered not to overturn the verdict, but to send the case for a new review in court.
