Official from Southern Urals suspected of housing fraud
In the Chelyabinsk region, head of the Kropachevsky urban settlement passed his relative as poor to help solve his housing problem.
The official is charged with abuse of official powers.
As reported by the regional ICR, a criminal case under Art. 285 of the Russian Criminal Code has been initiated against Galimyan Gaynetdinov.
According to the investigative bodies, in 2014, acting on behalf of the municipality, the official signed a contract for the provision of an apartment under social renting in the Kropachevo village to his relative. The cost of this housing was about 700 thousand rubles. At the same time, the official’s relative was not entitled to this benefit, since he was not poor.
