Nikandrov wears luxury polo shirt to sentencing hearing
The T-shirt is valued 25.000 rubles ($366) or more.
Denis Nikandrov, the former Moscow deputy head of the Investigative Committee, came to today's verdict pronouncement wearing a polo shirt by the luxury French brand Balmain, journalist Ekaterina Vinokurova said. Nikandrov has been convicted in the case of bribe-taking from the thief in law Shakro Molodoy.
"Nikandrov came to court wearing Balmain (an outrageously expensive brand); he just sleeps on money, doesn’t he" she shared on her Telegram Channel.
Then, the 112 Telegram Channel noted that the polo is valued at 25.000 rubles ($366) at the least.
The Moscow City Court sentenced Nikandrov to 5.5 years in a strict-regime colony for taking a bribe for the release of Andrei Kochuykov (aka Italianets), Shakro Molodoy’s crony.
Nikandrov was also stripped of his Major General of Justice rank, but the judge decided against a 65.000.000-ruble fine ($952.000) the prosecutor had insisted on.
The detention is related to the investigation into the abduction and murder of Tatyana Sidorova, a deputy of the Ramenskoye District Legislature, and three members of her family, which occurred back in 2012.
