Murmansk region: Cabinet officer arrested on suspicion of embezzlement
In the Murmansk region, Deputy Head of the Office for the activities of the Murmansk Region Government State Educational Budgetary Institution Georgy Blagodelsky is accused of financial fraud.
According to the ICR in the Murmansk region, the official is charged with part 3 of Art. 159 of the Russian Criminal Code (Swindling committed by a person through his official position). The investigators found that in March this year, Blagodelsky embezzled the money allocated for ensuring the needs of the regional government through the use of his official position. At the same time, the ICR has not clarified the amount appropriated by the official.
It is known that law enforcers have conducted search in the government of the Murmansk region; Blagodelsky was detained as a result. The court has elected him a preventive measure in the form of detention.
The investigation into this criminal case continues. The law enforcers establish other facts of the official's criminal activity and work on revealing the circle of his accomplices.
Ismail Efendiev is suspected of exceeding authority in connection with the investigation of cases of detained earlier former First Deputy Prime Minister Ramazan Aliyev and nephew of the former head of Dagestan Askhabali Abdulatipov. Searches are being conducted at Efendiev's office and house.
The disappearance of an elderly Muscovite, who owns three rooms on Ostozhenka Street, and her disabled son, worried the neighbors, but the police refused to initiate criminal proceedings on their application. Housing in the elite area of the capital in the meantime was re-registered to a resident of St. Petersburg, who introduced herself as their relative.
