MP Slutsky declared land plot that he ignored for 10 years

After the publication of the FBK investigation, head of the State Duma commission on reliability of information on incomes, property and property obligations Natalia Poklonskaya stated that there were no flaws in Slutsky's declaration.

Deputy from the LDPR political party Leonid Slutsky, who is accused of harassment by several journalists, mentioned a land plot, which was found by Navalny's Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK), in his declaration.

Previously, Anti-Corruption Foundation members asked the Duma commission to verify the reliability of information about Slutsky's income. But the State Duma commission considered that FBK violated the law "On the protection of personal data." Employee of FBK Georgy Alburov said that only pressure forced Slutsky to declare the land plot.

On March 8, 2018 FBK published an investigation of Slutsky's fines, expensive property, the land plot on Rublyovka, which he rented for 47 years. The area of the plot is one hectare. The deputy who has rented a hectare has never declared it, although the law indicates that leased land should also be declared.

After the publication of the FBK investigation, head of the State Duma commission on reliability of information on incomes, property and property obligations Natalia Poklonskaya stated that there were no flaws in Slutsky's declaration.

Slutsky has become infamous after three journalists working in State Duma accused the deputy of harassment. As a result of the scandal, several federal media announced a boycott of the State Duma.
