Moscow Region: head of education directorate suspected of bribery
The security forces searched the Protvino city Administration.
Investigators of Serpukhov initiated a criminal case on receiving a bribe in the amount of not less than 120,000 rubles ($ 1,800) against the head of the education and social development directorate of the Protvino Urban District Administration. Olga Kamardina is listed on the Administration’s website for this position. Two more persons are suspected of being intermediaries, the ICR’s Investigative Directorate for the Moscow Region reports.
According to the investigation, from September 2016 to February 2018, Kamardina through intermediaries monthly received money from the head of one of the preschool educational institutions for general patronage and creation of favorable working conditions. The case against the official was initiated under paragraph “b” of part 5 of Article 290 CCRF (bribe-taking on an especially large scale with extortion).
The security forces conducted searches in Protvino’s Administration building. Kamardina was detained.
