Moscow police officer detained for money extortion
The operative handcuffed a woman, took her away from her home and solicited a bribe.
Senior lieutenant of the Moscow police, Alexei Ozerov, has been detained in Moscow on suspicion of extorting 400 thousand rubles from a 39-year-old resident. The 25-year-old operative handcuffed the Muscovite, took her away from her home and demanded money for non-initiation of criminal proceedings against the woman, REN-TV says.
The incident occurred on August 1. The victim filed a police statement. Ozerov was detained and fired for misconduct on the 13th. His superior will be disciplined.
Two adults and three children became infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) during treatment in a hospital in the Stavropol city of Budyonnovsk in 2018, Interfax reports with reference to the regional Ministry of Health.
